POSITION TITLE: PRODUCTION SUPPORT (TEMPORARY POSITION)
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this position will provide production support to project teams. Assembles parts for subassemblies and finished products. Prepares products for shipping. Performs general labour duties.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies and/or finished products
- Check assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning
- Check and weigh materials and product
- Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products for shipping
- Operate shop equipment such as hand tools, crane and fork lift
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment
- Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance
- Perform other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- Labour/manufacturing experience an asset
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Possess a mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and attention to detail
- General knowledge of shop tools
- Ability to work with others and to communicate both verbally and written
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Ability to perform manual labour
ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all Company policies and procedures while carrying out duties
