POSITION TITLE: PRODUCT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Documentation Manager, provides expertise to support ODIM’s products from conception and development to installation, training, service and beyond.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform life cycle cost (LCC) analysis and level of repair analysis (LORA)
- Provide support data and spares list
- Assist in the development of training materials, technical manuals and maintenance procedures. Support the development of field change procedures
- Support maintainability analysis
- Manage obsolescence and maintenance planning
- Develop requirements for special tools and equipment (STE) as well as test equipment
- Assist in the development of installation and checkout (INCO) and setting-to-work (STW) procedures
- Coordinate and assist in the compilation of component technical source data
- Liaise with the Design Department for maintainability in design
- Provide design feedback based on analytical results and general observation
- Complete estimates for labour requirements, schedules and costs
- Interact with customers as required, including presenting before audiences
- International travel as required
- Perform other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Broad technical background with a minimum of five (5) years related technical experience
- Mechanical experience and demonstrable aptitude required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High level of proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics (electrical and hydraulic)
- Detail oriented
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
